The design of all the programmes at the school is intended to first equip the students with hands on skills in business world, incorporates new innovations and information technology. The programme then leads you to specialize in your area of interest, equipping the leaner with specific skills and competencies required by the market and flexible to enable the learner apply in job creation.

The School of Business and Economics continues to tailor its programmes toward the needs of the market through continuous review and introduction of new market driven programmes. This is besides the specially designed short courses. The school is also committed to blending its programmes with professional courses. As such, the school hosts the Centre for KASNEB and organizes annual career counseling and mentorship. This enables our students to graduate with a degree and a professional qualification such as CPA, CS, CHRP, CISA and other professional qualification. Our programmes are offered on full-time, evening and weekend modes. Flexible course schedules make the programmes very accessible, thereby enabling our students to pursue their studies conveniently. Furthermore, the school offers programmes on face to face, e-learning, and online modes of teaching and learning.

The programmes have, in-class lecturers and complemented by field trips to complement the theory and practice and at least one field attachment. There is plenty of practical classes and field trips especially for those opting for Hospitality and Tourism programmes.

The school is endowed with highly qualified and competent teaching staff, comprising of five (5) Senior Lecturers, twelve (14) Lecturers, ALL with PhD qualification and several Assistant Lecturers and Tutorial Fellows.
